Sazerac

  • 2 oz rye whiskey
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
  • absinthe rinse
  • 1 lemon twist
Rinse a cocktail glass with absinthe. Stir the other liquids with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into the glass, then twist the lemon skin, outside down, over the drink and discard.
